Fresh Ground Coffee Leads 2015 Global Retail Sales

Coffee drinkers around the world are embracing fresh ground coffee above all other forms. In his presentation at Tea & Coffee World Cup in Krakow,  senior research analyst at Euromonitor International, Georgij Grebinskij, presented that freshly ground coffee sales surged 61 percent in volume and 39 percent in value, while coffee pods grew 18 percent in value, yet rose only 6 percent in volume. Instant coffee remained strong with 27 percent and 37 percent increases in volume and value.
